Public Notice: Short visits from Statia to St. Maarten for urgent matters can be permitted
At the moment St. Maarten, is classified as low risk country. There are no scheduled flights available travelling to St. Maarten from Statia and back. Flights are still limited to charter flights, that can only take place with the approval of the Statia Government.
The Statia Government can permit short visits to St. Maarten for these pressing matters:
- Legal affair
- Business affairs
- Urgent family visits
You can apply for a permit by emailing info.covid19@statiagov.com. Your email should include:
- requested dates of travel to and return from SXM
- reason for the visit
- copy of your ID card
If your request is approved, you will be forwarded to a travel agency for arranging the charter flight to St. Maarten at your own expense.
Similarly, you can ask for permission for charters connecting to outbound flights departing from St. Maarten.
