Walk-in sessions for residents of St. Eustatius with the National Ombudsman and the Ombudsman for Children team
From 10th to 12th February 2022, a team from the National Ombudsman and the Ombudsman for Children will be on St. Eustatius for walk-in sessions. Residents are welcome to come, free of charge, to the walk-in sessions if they wish to submit a complaint about any government or official body.
Because of the pandemic, it has not been possible to hold any face-to-face sessions in the past two years. After consulting with the local governments, the team has now decided that face-to-face sessions can resume. During the sessions, the team will continue to observe the latest COVID measures. For this reason, the sessions will be held outside; there will also be a host present and we will ensure there is sufficient distancing and hygiene materials.
The team welcomes the opportunity to speak with residents once again and looks forward to meeting them.
Coming to the walk-in sessions
Anyone with a complaint about, for example, the Tax and Customs Administration, the Public Prosecution Service, the police, the Public Entity, or Care and Youth in the Caribbean Netherlands, is welcome to visit the National Ombudsman and Ombudsman for Children team at the following times:

Meetings may be held in Dutch or English.

Spreekuren voor inwoners St. Eustatius door team Nationale ombudsman en Kinderombudsman
Van 7 tot en met 12 februari 2022 is een team van de Nationale ombudsman en de Kinderombudsman weer op St. Eustatius voor spreekuren. Inwoners kunnen gratis langskomen bij de spreekuren om een klacht in te dienen over (overheids)instanties.
Vanwege de coronamaatregelen konden de fysieke spreekuren afgelopen twee jaar niet plaatsvinden. Het team heeft na raadpleging van de lokale overheden besloten dat het nu weer mogelijk is. Tijdens de spreekuren houdt het team rekening met de coronamaatregelen. Daarom zijn de spreekuren buiten, is er een host aanwezig en zorgen we voor voldoende afstand en (hygiëne)middelen.
Het team is blij dat zij weer bewoners kunnen spreken en kijken ernaar uit om hen te ontmoeten.
Spreekuren bezoeken
Mensen met klachten over bijvoorbeeld de Belastingdienst, het Openbaar Ministerie, politie, het Openbaar Lichaam, Zorg en Jeugd Caribisch Nederland kunnen gratis terecht bij het team van de Nationale ombudsman en Kinderombudsman op de volgende momenten:

Klacht indienen altijd mogelijk
Mensen die de spreekuren niet kunnen bezoeken, kunnen hun vraag of klacht ook indienen op andere manieren.
