The Public Entity of Sint Eustatius (OLE) carries out both municipal and provincial tasks on this special municipality of the Netherlands. As Administrative Employee Personnel and Organisation (P&O), you will be part of the Unit Internal Services, which is responsible for Human Resource Management (HRM), ICT, and Facility Management. In this role, integrity and confidentiality are essential. You serve as the first point of contact for Personnel and Organisation and ensure accurate, up-to-date, and well-organised personnel administration.

 

Wat ga je doen?

In this role, you will be responsible for answering first-line personnel-related questions and providing accurate and timely information to employees. In addition, you will perform a broad range of general administrative duties in support of the HR department.

  • Perform general administrative tasks, including handling client and employee enquiries via email, telephone, or in person;
  • File, archive, and maintain personnel records and documentation;
  • Manage personnel files in accordance with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Assist with the planning and logistics of personnel procedures and HR-related events;
  • Maintain and update personnel databases related to payroll, pension administration, recruitment, and other HR processes;
  • Manage and register sick leave administration;
  • Assist with payroll-related mutations;
  • Monitor office supplies and place orders to ensure sufficient stock.

Job requirements

  • MBO Level 4 diploma in Administration;

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in HR administration;

  • Proven experience with payroll processing;

  • Experience working with HR- and Payroll Software (AFAS or similar) is a plus;

  • Experience in creating and maintaining archives and files, drafting correspondences, progress reports and simple advice, amongst others;

  • The intention and commitment to fulfil this role for a minimum of 3 to 5 years.

Wat wij jou bieden

  • Temporary employment for a trial period of one year, with the prospect of permanent employment;

  • Salary: Scale 7, gross monthly between $2,719.20 – $3,768.12 (36-hour working week);

  • Working hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week;

  • Allowances: Holiday allowance of 8.33% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.33% of the annual salary;

  • 182 holiday hours per year pro rata based on a 36-hour working week;

  • Benefits: Inclusion in the pension fund;

  • A relocation scheme for candidates who respond from outside the island.

Wat zijn de eisen

  • Strong knowledge of internal administrative procedures, HR regulations, and the organisational structure, tasks, and working methods;
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential personnel information;
  • Skilled in organising and maintaining archives, as well as preparing progress reports, summaries, and documentation;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English;
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills;
  • Proficient in computer use, with hands-on experience in MS Office applications.
