Sint Eustatius Welcomes You
A warm welcome from the Government of Sint Eustatius – known to our friends simply as Statia. Please accept our invitation to learn more about our lovely island, its government and the many opportunities here. Whether you are interested in coming to Statia for business, pleasure or a combination of the two, we feel that our safe community, fascinating island history, outdoor pursuits and beautiful climate will charm and compel you.

Our island is just five miles long and two miles wide, and is home to 3091 people. We are part of the Netherlands Antilles, in the Leeward Islands chain. Our head of government is the Governor of Sint Eustatius, who represents us at the Federal Level in Curacao.

For the tourist or investor, we have plenty to offer. First and foremost, we are politically stable; proud of our peaceloving, hardworking heritage. Geographically, we are well located, with a gateway to the US via St. Maartin and a forthcoming direct air link to Puerto Rico.

We have worked hard to create and maintain protected areas of natural beauty both on land and at sea, and our historic capital, Oranjestad, is delightfully tranquil. Violence and theft - seen every day in most nations - are almost unheard-of on Statia.

Intrigued? Choose from the links at the top and to the left of this page, to learn much more about beautiful Statia.
