Sint Eustatius Welcomes You the island is five miles long and two miles wide, and is home to 3400 people. We are part of the Netherlands Antilles, in the Leeward Islands chain. Our head of government is the Lt. Governor of Sint Eustatius. The Senator represents us at the Federal Level in Curacao. For the tourist or investor, we have plenty to offer. First and foremost, we are politically stable; proud of our peaceloving, hardworking heritage. Geographically, we are well located, with a gateway to the US via St. Maarten and a forthcoming direct air link to Puerto Rico. We have worked hard to create and maintain protected areas of natural beauty both on land and at sea, and our historic capital, Oranjestad, is delightfully tranquil. Violence and theft - seen every day in most nations - are almost unheard-of on Statia. Intrigued? Choose

more about the Jewel of the Seas, according to a visitor and a gem of
an island.
