Customs BCN intercepts drugs at the airport on St. Eustatius
During a regular check on incoming passengers of a Win Air flight from Sint Maarten with destination Saba/St. Eustatius on Monday, May 31st, 2021. Customs found 530 grams of cannabis on a male passenger.
When checking the hand luggage, a vacuum-packed package was found.
Upon closer inspection of this package, it turned out to be cannabis. The cannabis was seized and the suspect with initials C.C.H. of 51 years, was arrested.
After his arrest, the suspect and the cannabis was handed over to the KPCN for further investigation.
Douane BCN onderschept drugs op de luchthaven op Sint Eustatius
Tijdens een reguliere controle op binnenkomende passagiers van de Win-Air vlucht vanuit Sint Maarten naar Saba/Sint Eustatius op maandag 31 mei, heeft de Douane 530 gram cannabis aangetroffen bij een mannelijke passagier.
Bij de controle van de handbagage werd een vacuüm verpakt pakketje gevonden.
Bij nadere controle van dit pakketje bleek het om cannabis te gaan. De cannabis is in beslag genomen en de verdachte met initialen C.C.H. (4-juni-1969) werd aangehouden.
De verdachte is na aanhouding samen de cannabis overgedragen aan de KPCN voor verder onderzoek.
