Hardening of seaport site (phase 0)

Public Tender with pre-selection

Cause

The Public Entity of Sint Eustatius (OLE) is working on restoration and expansion works for the port of Sint Eustatius to ensure that the current port is future-proof and hurricane-proof. The geographical location of the port of Sint Eustatius is shown in figure 1. OLE is looking for a contractor for the paving of the port area and the construction of the above- and underground infrastructure.

The subject of this tender is phase 0 , in which the container site will be paved and a sidewalk will be constructed along the quay to the ferry.

The activities that form part of this contract are (but not limited to):

  • Supply and installation of (fibre) concrete paving on the container site of approx. 5,000 m2. Including finishing and installation of shrinkage and expansion joints.
  • Supply and installation of sewerage system for the container zone , including oil and waste water separator.
  • Supply and installation of a cable route with a length of approximately 300 m along the boundaries of the site, including the laying of empty conduits.
  • Work on fences and gates.
  • Coordinating work by third parties;
    • Installation of fire extinguishing lines and new connection points for refrigerated containers ( Stuco )
    • Construction of bio-secure fencing for the entire container area
  • Supply and construction of a concrete footpath between the container zone and the port breakwater.

It will be carried out in phases, whereby the business operations on the port site must be safeguarded. The development of a Plan of Approach and a phasing plan are part of the tender. The start of the work is expected at the end of 2025.

What is OLE looking for?

To select a contractor for this project, the Public Entity of Sint Eustatius is organizing a public tender with pre-selection.

Contractors interested in participating in the pre-selection are invited to express their interest and submit the following information:

  1. Chamber of Commerce extract, not older than 3 months;
  2. Organizational chart of the company and indication of the composition of the management and staff;
  3. Reference list demonstrating that the contractor has successfully completed recent similar projects.

The companies that, based on an assessment of the information submitted, are deemed to be able to successfully complete the project will be invited to participate in this tender and to submit a Financial Proposal, including an Action Plan.
