Statia was represented by Andre Bennett (Crisis Manager), Marion Schroen (Acting Island Secretary and Crisis Coordinator), and Gerald Simmons- De Jong (Government Legal Advisor).
Throughout the week, a wide range of topics were addressed, including hurricane scenario training, presentations on climate change, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in crisis management, and success stories from across the Kingdom. The program culminated in an orientation visit to the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) volunteer organization, based in The Hague.
The delegation from the Statia Government extends its sincere appreciation to the organizers of Crisis Week 2025. These engagements are highly valued as they promote closer alignment and deeper collaboration across the Kingdom, especially in the vital areas of crisis management, emergency preparedness, and disaster response.
