BSN Pick Up Weeks
From 11 November, you will get a citizen service number (BSN) and you will be able to pick up the letter with your personal BSN. The BSN is your personal number. It is being given to you now so that you can take care of your government affairs online in the future.
During the BSN pick up weeks from 11 November to 4 December, your BSN letter will be waiting for you and you can pick it up from the Census Office without making an appointment. Even after the pick up weeks, you can request your BSN from Census Office at any time.

Bring ID
To pick up your BSN letter, you must bring a valid proof of identity, such as your I.D. card, passport or driving licence. Do you have children under the age of 16? Parents and guardians of a child under the age of 16 can pick up the child's BSN letter. Please also bring your child's valid ID for this purpose.
Authorisation form
You can authorise someone else to pick up your BSN letter for you. To do this, write an authorisation letter that includes your name, date of birth, address and signature, along with the name and date of birth of the person you are authorising. The letter must clearly state that you authorise that person to pick up your letter on your behalf. You must also provide a copy of your identity document to the person you are authorising.

When can I pick up my BSN letter?
You can pick up your letter with personal BSN during the BSN pick up weeks, from Tuesday, 11 November up to and including Thursday, 4 December. Do you already have an appointment Census Office? You will be given your BSN letter straightaway in that case. After the pick up weeks, you can request your BSN from Census Office at any time.
Who can pick up the BSN letter?
All residents of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba aged 16 and over can pick up their personal BSN letter themselves.
What should I bring with me when I go to pick up my BSN letter?
Bring your valid proof of identity (Sedula/identity card, driving licence or passport) when you come to pick up your letter with personal BSN.
Can I pick up the letter for my child?
Yes, parents and guardians of a child under the age of 16 can pick up the child's BSN letter. Be sure to bring your child's valid ID.
From what age can I pick up my BSN letter myself?
Anyone aged 16 and over can pick up the letter with their personal BSN. Younger than age 16? Then a parent or guardian can pick up the letter.

You can request your BSN from Census Office at any time or you can look it up using your DigiD on mijn.overheid.nl.
How long is my BSN Letter valid?
The BSN is personal and will always remain yours. The letter is valid indefinitely as proof of your BSN.
