Princess Beatrix to Visit St. Eustatius on 21 November 2025

The Statia Government is honoured to announce that Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands will pay an official visit to Statia on Friday, 21 November 2025. This visit forms part of a wider working programme in the Dutch Caribbean focused on nature conservation, youth engagement, and community development.

Her Royal Highness is scheduled to arrive at F.D. Roosevelt Airport at approximately 9:30 a.m., where she will be received by the Island Governor and representatives of the Statia Government. Residents are warmly welcomed to attend the airport upon both her arrival and departure, in accordance with guidance provided by airport security personnel and the police. In connection with the arrival, the public is advised that the airport’s Kiss & Ride area will be blocked as well as a stretch of road within the airport vicinity.

Following her arrival, the official convoy will make its way through the island sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. As it proceeds along Fort Oranjestraat, the convoy will pass the Auxiliary Home and the Queen Beatrix Medical Centre, allowing residents along the route an opportunity to witness the passage of Her Royal Highness.

Her Royal Highness will then undertake a courtesy visit at the Public Library, where she will meet library staff, community representatives, and young readers in a warm and welcoming setting.

At the conclusion of her programme, Her Royal Highness is expected to depart the island at approximately 4:15 p.m. from F.D. Roosevelt Airport. Residents are equally welcomed to attend the departure in a respectful manner.

The visit reflects Princess Beatrix’s longstanding commitment to culture, education, and the preservation of natural heritage. The Island of Statia warmly welcomes this meaningful opportunity to showcase the island’s achievements, community organisations, and enduring spirit.

Due to the high-level nature of the visit, a detailed time schedule will not be released. Residents are encouraged to follow the Official Royal House of the Netherlands channels for further updates.
