Launch of 3x3 basketball on St. Eustatius

St. Eustatius, The Basketball Committee and the Dutch Basketball Federation (NBB) are proud to announce a successful and productive weekend on 3-5 February, focused on building a strong basketball community on St. Eustatius. The weekend kicked off with a launch of the new 3x3 basketball program and was filled with workshops, clinics, and a tournament that attracted basketball coaches and players of all ages and levels.

During the weekend, the NBB and the Basketball Committee held several meetings with key stakeholders, including coaches, referees, players, community leaders, primary schools, secondary school, after-school programs, the Commissioner of Sports, and many more. These discussions provided valuable insights and perspectives on how best to approach the development of basketball on the island. The discussions were productive and led to the formation of a comprehensive plan of action that will drive the growth of basketball on St. Eustatius in the upcoming years.

The basketball clinics held over the weekend provided players with a chance to learn new skills and improve their abilities on the court. The 3x3 tournament was a showcase of the talent on the island and was enjoyed by players and spectators alike. The kids' corner was also a big hit, providing young basketball fans with a chance to play games and have fun.

The Basketball Committee and the NBB would like to thank all participants, volunteers, and supporters for making the weekend a success. We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Commissioner of Sports and all the primary schools, secondary schools, and after-school programs for their support and participation.

All involved look forward to working together to build a strong basketball community on St. Eustatius and creating opportunities for coaches and players of all ages to play, grow and develop their skills. Thanks again, everyone!
