The Public Entity Sint Eustatius (OLE) carries out both municipal and provincial tasks on this special municipality of the Netherlands. Tasks and Responsibilities

As a Pedagogical Coach / Field Coach, you play a key role within the B4Kids programme on Sint Eustatius, aimed at ensuring high-quality childcare for children aged 0–12 years. You support the Project Leader and the local support structure in strengthening childcare quality across the island.

You monitor and assess childcare organisations in line with applicable laws, island ordinances and inspection frameworks. Through regular site visits, you provide coaching and practical guidance to help organisations meet required quality standards. You report findings to the Project Leader and the Director of the Social Domain.

In addition, you will:

  • Advise on training needs and capacity-building activities

  • Participate in meetings with local and national stakeholders, including the B4Kids platform
  • Follow up on subsidy-related requests in coordination with the support structure
  • Hold bi-weekly coordination meetings with the Project Leader
  • Prepare monthly progress reports
  • Develop information materials and organise information sessions for stakeholders, parents and media

Employment Conditions

The selected candidate may receive: 

  • Temporary employment for a trial period of one year.
  • Salary: Scale 9, gross monthly between $3,772.92 – $5,061.23 (based on a 36-hour workweek)
  • Working hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week.
  • Allowances: Holiday allowance of 8.33% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.33% of the annual salary.
  • 182 holiday hours per year pro rata based of a 36-hour working week.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogics, Social Pedagogical Work, or a comparable field
  • Experience with childcare organisations for children aged 0–12 years
  • Experience in a policy, advisory or quality assurance role within childcare
  • Experience within the Caribbean part of the Kingdom is an advantage
  • Knowledge of childcare legislation and the rights of the child
  • Understanding of quality standards, inspection frameworks and support structures

An assessment, case, and/or reference check may be part of the procedure. The selected candidate must provide a certificate of good conduct (VOG) and undergo medical evaluation for inclusion in the pension fund.
