Statia Government Represented at Prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Youth Forum in the Republic of Korea

Statia Government was proudly represented at the UNESCO World Heritage Youth Forum in Busan, Republic of Korea, highlighting Sint Eustatius' commitment to cultural heritage preservation and youth engagement on the international stage.

Representing Statia Government wasHeritage Inspector Javier Gordon, who was selected as one of only 32 young participants from thousands of applicants worldwide. The forum brought together emerging heritage professionals from across the globe to exchange knowledge, share experiences and explore innovative approaches to protecting and promoting World Heritage for future generations.

Mr Gordon's participation provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen international partnerships, exchange expertise with heritage professionals and showcase the rich cultural heritage of Statia and the wider Caribbean. Discussions focused on sustainable heritage management, community involvement, climate resilience and the important role of young professionals in safeguarding World Heritage for future generations.

Through participation in international forums such as this, Statia Government continues to promote the island's unique cultural heritage, strengthen global partnerships and support the next generation of heritage professionals.
