Building Application Forms can be collected from the Licensing, Supervision, and Enforcement Unit at Kennip Road 15. Completed applications must be submitted in hard copy to the same unit.

Step-by-Step Application Process

 

Step 1: Pay the Building Registration Fee at the Census Office

  • Pay the initial $3.00 USD building registration fee
  • Secure a receipt as proof of payment.

Step 2: Submission Documents to Licensing Supervision and Enforcement Unit

  • Present the completed application form, required documentation, and a copy of the building registration proof of payment to the Licensing Supervision and Enforcement Unit.

Step 3: Receive Invoice Based on Surface Dimensions

  • Upon successful submission, you will receive an invoice based on the surface dimensions of your project.

Step 4: Pay the invoice at the Census Office and provide proof of payment

  • Once the invoice has been paid at the Census Office, submit the proof of payment to the Licences, Supervision, and Enforcement Unit.

Step 5: Clarifications Will Be Requested If Needed 

  • If any uncertainties or missing details are identified, you may be contacted via email or phone. Your application will remain on hold until you provide clarification or additional documents.

Step 6: Your Application Will Be Assessed

  • Once all required documents are in order, your application will be assessed.
  • The Executive Council will then decide whether to approve or reject the requested building permit.

Step 7: Receive Decision

  • You will be contacted by the Licences Supervision and Enforcement Unit regarding the Executive Council’s decision.
  • If approved, collect your permit from the Licences Supervision and Enforcement Unit. 
  • If you are unable to collect the permit yourself, an authorised representative may collect it on your behalf with a valid authorisation of power letter.
